After receiving the sad news that The Grey Space in the Middle has received a negative advice for the structural funding from The Municipality of The Hague, we want to express our solidarity and support to the beloved venue, where we have been organizing most of our installments.
the Grey Space's existence and presence are undeniably crucial for The Hague on many levels. It has given the possibility for many artists, initiatives and people to present and continuously develop their ideas, music, and visions of arts collectivity and sustainably. Their residency programs, initiatives, the versatility of their operation, and the multi-usability of their beautiful place in both their own programs as well as in their many collaborations are invaluable for a city and scene like ours - where such experiences, places, and opportunities are already scarcely to be found.
The Grey Space in the Middle’s support, and its openness on a human and artistic level, as well as in how their building gives back to whatever there is presented, is what moreover makes it possible for initiatives like ours to even exist in this city. It makes the Grey Space also one of the only places where you can feel a “coming together” to experience such a wide range of things.
